DIY Wedding flowers
Are you thinking 'I'll just grab some flowers from the fruit shop/supermarket and make them myself'?
You can do better than that.
Get in touch and let us know your date, and we'll see what we can do.
Professional vs 'do it yourself' wedding flowers:
Professional florists cost because:
- they're professionals...they know what they're doing, and
- wedding flowers take a lot of time and effort and stress. A lot.
I'm not saying 'don't do your own flowers', I'm saying 'know what you're really getting into. And make sure you've got plenty of helpers'.
How about a mix of both?
A little from 'column A', a little from 'column B'....
a) Professional florist makes your bridal bouquet or ceremony flowers
b) You and your friends and family help out and make the reception flowers but with better flowers than you'll get at the supermarket, and delivered to your house a day or two before your wedding (so you don't need to get up at the crack of dawn!)
Bear in mind, DIY means DIY - sourcing your own vases, preparing all of the flowers, stripping the leaves off the stems, making the arrangements, making sure the water is nice and clean on the wedding day so the vases don't look gross, cleaning up all the mess at your house, getting the vases to the venue without breaking them, taking them home from the venue at the end of the night (or encouraging your guests to!).
It's absolutely do-able. But it is a lot.
